ObjectivesDesign and build the entire infrastructure for a new web-based business named Flight Maker, including 4 distinct websites (public site, member site, charter operator site, and administrator site) and all associated software applications including task flows, databases, and screen designs. Flight Maker is a service that algorithmically matches its members' travel plans so that members can share the cost of charter jet flights, reducing costs dramatically -- often to a price that is comparable to first class commercial airline tickets. My RoleI managed a UE design team of 3 people, dividing the tasks between the 3 of us and directing the work of the other two team members. I designed most of the administrator site (the largest and most technically complex of the four sites) and the associated applications, along with the charter operator site and its associated applications. (See the "List of Use Cases" document below to get a sense of the broad scope of these many applications.) I created high-fidelity mockups for 80 different screens, iterating them as needed. I served as one of the principal client contacts throughout the project. I also served as the technical product manager, creating all of the high-level specifications for the project, such as the interactions between the four websites and the various applications, data structures, work flows, and underlying algorithms.
