Objectives

Create a rapid prototype in Macromedia Flex (later renamed Adobe Flex) of initial concepts for the FedEx Photo Library. Creating this prototype would serve two purposes: 1) to communicate some initial concepts we had for this online application, and 2) to demonstrate our ability to create rapid prototypes in Flex.

My Role

I designed this prototype and coded it in Flex 1.5 (MXML and ActionScript 2.0) in a 2-week period in May 2005, while continuing my full schedule of other assignments.

Design Considerations

Design considerations included simple search versus advanced search, marking favorite photos, resizing the thumbnails, seeing additional information about each image, and many other details. For a list of these features and a brief note on the rationale for each one, please see the instructions.
