This section includes "rough draft recordings" of some of the music I've written.
I made these recordings in 2003, using the simple equipment that I had at the time.
Since then I've learned a lot and I've acquired better equipment. So later this year I plan to
re-record these songs, plus others I've written.

My Troubles Disappeared
This song has a perky melody and lively instrumentation. The lyrics of the song express hope in the future,
although I've provided an instrumental version here. The song has a slightly Latin feel to it.

Forever
This is another song with a perky melody. The instrumentation in the song gives the song a humorous Caribbean
quality. The structure follows the typical verse-chorus structure that one finds in popular music.

Lost in the Attic
This song is a bit more experimental. I created a short basic riff with percussion, bass, and piano. Then I
created complementary riffs on a variety of other instruments, plus some variations on the original riffs. Throughout
the song I weave the various instruments and riffs in and out, constantly changing the mix. To me, the result is a
very enjoyable piece of music, even though it completely lacks the traditional structure of a pop song.

Slow Pulse
This song is also a bit more experimental. Instead of a traditional melody, I instead opt for a slow
progression of tones, sometimes backed by faster arpeggios. The song alternates between 3 core sections, with
variations on each. The resulting song has a calming "new age" feel to it. Several of my friends have told me that
this song is their favorite.
